1. crank and slider mechanism

   • crank
     • made from acrylic
       • designed and cut out using CAD/CAM- 2DTechsoft and laser cutter
       • Held together using nuts and bolts/ small screw threads
   • Slider
     • Made from MDF and will be cut out using the laser cutter
       • glueed together using PVA or any other wood glue
     • rctangles
   • Connecting rod/ Conrod
     • made out of pine(with a smaller thickness) or MDF
       • joined using rivets
     • cut using CAD/CAM
     • The edges will be smoothed using an engineering file.
   • Bearing block
     • this could just be a 3rd conrod
       • Made form 3 MDF bocks
         • Cut using a coping saw or hegner fret saw

2. Exterior MDF Frames

   • Designed and cut out using CAD/CAM
     • Made from MDF
       • 2x4 frames
         • square top and bottom
   • Frames will be cut using the laser cutter
     • The edges will be designed to have box/finger joints.
       • These joints will be further secured using PVA

3. Electrical components

   • Soldering will be used to hold the wires in place
   • motor to rotate the crank will be glued on
   • Perhaps LED on the stand so the horse would know where to go

4. pole

   • Could be just made from a dowel rod
     • could be made by cutting a MDF block
       • cut using hegner fret saw

5. Fixings

   • nuts and bolts
     • screw threads
       • rivets
     • Wood adhesive
