Answers to excretion

1. Hormones are slower traveling and affect target cells in different areas.

2. Kidney

3. Ammonia

4. Protein

5. Bowman's capsule, Glomerulus, and arteriole

6. Nephron

7. Glucose is needed for energy in cells, and salts are needed for nervous system functions.

8. Less

9. Proteins are large molecules. The Bowman's capsule selectively filters only small substances into the nephron. This process is specifically called ultrafiltration.

10. Glucose is actively transported and reabsorbed from the nephron back into the blood. his can also be called selective reabsorption. Primarily, this process occurs in the proximal convoluted tubule.
