• -Plot structure-plot is a literary term used to describe the events that make up a story or the main part of a story.
• -Plot refers to the sequence of events inside a story which affect other events through the principle of cause and effect.
• - The events of plot structure are:
• Introduction or Exposition.
• Inciting incident.
• Rising Action.
• Climax.
• Falling Action.
• Resolution.

Introduction/Exposition.

• The exposition/introduction is the portion of a story that introduces important background information to the audience.
• The exposition a literary device used to introduce background information about events, settings, characters etc.

• The first sentence is the exposition because you learn a bit about the characters.
• You learn that there is a Shepherd in Pemba who owns sheep and that it was a long time ago.

Rising Action

• The rising action are events that lead to the climax.
