Question Answer
y = x^2 -----> y = x^2 + 7 Add 7 to the whole function Translation by(0,7)
y = x^2 -----> y =(x+7)^2 Add 7 to just the x Translation by(-7,0)
y = f(X) ----> y = 2f(X) Multiply the whole function by 2 Stretch in the y-direction by scale factor 2
y = f(x) ----> y= f(2x) Multiply just the x by 2 Stretch in the x-direction by 1/2
y = 2^x ----> y = -2^x Change the sign of the whole function. Reflection in the x-axis
y = 2^x ----> y = 2^-x Change the sign of just the x Reflection in the y-axis
