| Question | Answer |
| 3 Poisons | Greed, Ignorante & Hate |
| Interconnectedness | The belief that everything in existence is in some way connected to everything else, and positive or negative actions done will affect more than one individual. (like a ripple effect) |
| Samsara | The circle of birth, death and rebirth which can be overcome by following the noble eightfold path. Samsara is full of Dukkha. |
| Pre-Existence | Life begins even before conception because all living things are caught up in the wheel of samsara. Therefore there is no point in which life 'begins'. - argument for topic of abortion. |

| 5 precepts | I Undertake to abstain from: 1. Harming life (ahimsa). 2. Taking what is not freely given. 3. Misusing the senses (e.g. sex). 4. Wrong speech. 5. Intoxicants that cloud the mind. |
| 4 Noble Truths | Dukka - all life is unsatisfactoriness / suffering. Tanha - unsatisfactoriness is caused by desire. Nirodha - it is possible to stop Dukka. Magga - the way to stop Dukka is the Eightfold path. |
| 3 Marks of Existence | Dukka - all life if suffering. Anicca - all life is impermanent. Anatta - no soul / self (we are made by 5 Skamdhas) |
