What is the bacteria called that causes tuberculosis? Mycobacterium tuberculosis
How is tuberculosis spread? Droplet infection
What are some symptoms of TB? - Weight loss - Lung damage
Why is TB to treat? The bacteria is protected by the immune system which makes drugs difficult to reach them
What pathogen causes HIV/AIDS? Virus
What is the HIV virus called? Human immunodificiency virus
What other ways can HIV spread other than sex? - Sharing needles - Blood transfusion - From mother to unborn child via the placenta
What are the symptoms of HIV? Rashes Fever
Why is treating HIV difficult? It is very expensive for someone to live a long life with it
