What is the definition of data?	Data consists of raw facts and figures for example reading from and experiment, because they are raw fact they are meaningless and have no relevance. Data is either in a form that you can not use or it is just no use to you.
Name three forms data can take?	Numbers Words Images (also sound and video)
What is information?	Data processed by the computer.
What can processed mean?	Having calculations performed on it. Converting the data to give it meaning. Organised in some way (putting in order)
What is knowledge?	Knowledge is information with rules applied to it.
What does GIGO stand for?	Garbage in garbage out.
What does GIGO mean?	If you enter the incorrect data into the computer the output from the computer will be incorrect as well.
Name two ways in which data can arise?	From results of an experiment. From automatic measurement using sensors (rainfall) Also: From a transaction (buying a download) From a survey
