FEED FORWARD CONTROL (PRE-CONTROL) -controls that take place before work is performed -future oriented, intended to prevent anticipated problems -done by establishing rues, procedures and policies aimed at eliminating behaviour that cause undesirable work results -attempt to control the quality or quantity of financial, physical, human and information resources before they become part of the system
CONCURRENT CONTROLS -present oriented, intended to minimize problems as they occur -monitor on-going activities tp ensure that all aspects of performance are consistent with established standards so problems and errors can be corrected way before they become too difficult or expensive
FEEDBACK CONTROLS -refers to measures taken after work is completed -past oriented, intended to correct problems that have already occured EG: Performance appraisal form of employees
