e.g. SELECT to_char(sysdate,'dd-Mon-yyyy') FROM dual; SELECT to_char(sysdate,'dd-Mon-yyyy hh:mi:ss PM') FROM dual - 5Oracle internal attributes- sysdate: current date/time
– systimestamp: current date/time as a timestamp
