What were the Concequences of the Cuban Missile Crisis? > Moscow - Washington hotline setup so leaders could speak directly and try to avoid any future crises before they became serious > Khrushchev seemed to have failed, backed down in the face of American pressure > Kennedy became the hero of the Western world - the agreement was kept secret > USA began selling grain to the USSR - improved relations
