- Twisted Coaxial - 2RoutersA router will accept incoming data packets arriving from connected Networks, it will then read the destination address and work out what is connected to that particular packet.
- 3SwitchesA switch is a component used within the computer network. It has a number of ports and it stores the addresses of all network devices
- 4Fibre OpticIt works by the data carrying light then it is interjected into the cable, the light is detected then the signal is extracted. It transfers data through light signals. It has high bandwidth but is expensive
- 5CoaxialIt is a thin copper wire about a mm thick, it has a low bandwidth and is not energy efficient. It is good for carrying radio signals. it is very cheap and easy to install.
- 6Twisted Coaxialit is a similar to coaxial cable but the wires are twisted together. It can be affected by external magnetic interference but it is quite easy to install.
