Reincarnation The rebirth of a soul in a new body.
Karma The sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, decides their fate in future existence.
Dharma A key concept with multiple meanings in the Indian religions Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism.
Buddhism Largely based on teachings attributed to Gautama Buddha, commonly known as the Buddha.
Siddhartha Gautama A sage on whose teachings Buddhism was founded.
Nirvana The ideal state where the spirit is liberated from the cycles of death and life.
Noble Truths They are the truth of suffering, the truth of the cause of suffering, the truth of the end of suffering, and the truth of the path that leads to the end of suffering.
Eightfold path Used to develop insight into the true nature of phenomena (or reality) and to eradicate greed, hatred, and delusion.
