Hannibal had a budget of $87 million however it achieved in total $351,692,268 worldwide; this signifies the level success the film had. Before release Hannibal was highly anticipated, as it was #1 in 3230 cinemas/Theatres across the globe according to box office statistics, this signifies that Ridley Scott is highly rated by the film industry as whenever he has a film ready for release it is always in demand. This is inspirational because of the success he has had during his career in the film industry through the success of films like Hannibal. |
| Jack Nicholson | Jack Nicholson is an actor who has featured in many successful films however the one that relates to the horror genre the most was 'The Shining'. Jack Nicholson said “I worry from the moment I take a job. I worry about how I'm going to do it, if I can do it... Then I walk on set and the director says, 'Roll', and all of a sudden, all of it disappears and it's all happening, and I relax, and I'm doing what I do, and I'm not even thinking about it”. this shows that he wants to be the very best he can be and that he enjoys the job he is in, it also suggests that he worries about letting his fans down. Therefore this quote emphasises how passionate Jack Nicholson is and because of this his determination has gave him a successful career as he has stared in films like The Shining which was a very successful horror film. |
| Alfred Hitchcock | Alfred Hitchcock was an English film director and producer; he pioneered many elements of the suspense and psychological thriller genres. Many of his films have twist endings and thrilling plots featuring murder and violence. He peaked in his film career during the 1950’s through the film Stage Fright where he began his work with Warner Bros, which is now one of the major 5 producers. The most memorable quote from Alfred Hitchcock was “Give them pleasure. The same pleasure they have when they wake up from a nightmare.” Here he is talking about the audience and how he wanted them to feel watching his film. This is inspirational to me because this is how we would want our horror film trailer to be , as he wants the audience to have fun but he also wants them to experience the horror that he was so famous for. |
