What are the aspects of sustainability in financial sector? > Sustainability of provider > Sustainability of consumer > Sustainability of financial network
What are three types of people that choose financial product? > Ones that cannot be bothered to explore and research on sustainability or ethical policies > Ones that are very concerned about ethical policies and think of sustainability > Ones that want to support a charity
Why would people with ethical considerations buy products of a building society? Because banks have pure customer service and so ethics are not followed completely. Also, building societies have more ethical and green products.
What's the principle of Islamic banking? A person should not enjoy an increase in wealth from allowing someone else to expose their wealth to the risk of loss.
What is Sharia law? It's a law that don't allow interest as a tool of profit. It does allow to a person to receive a fair proportion of the profits they have helped to make. It states that a person/institution must place their money only in investments that are ethical
What means halal? It means that investment should be: > free of interest > made in permissible activities > separately approved by an independent Sharia supervisory board
