List some factors associated with height Altitude Slope - state direction Flatness of land (flat, undulating, rugged, mountainous) Identifiable physical features (e.g. saddle, coastal plane etc)
Explain Situation Physical and Cultural features that would help you to identify the place on map
Explain some of the factors used to describe the Situation on a map Position in state or territory and latitude and longitude (e.g. Perth is located SW of Western Australia, with a latitude and longitude of 31°57'S and 115°52'E) Nearby large towns (direction & distance from) Nearby regional or important transport routes (e.g. major highways/freeways, airports, major railways etc)
