- 1UsersUsers - are simple users within the environment - these users are able to manage the aws services. You can add specific permissions to users or add them to groups which have specific access
- 2GroupsGroups have users and other objects inside them. Groups cannot be nested into other groups
Groups have specific permissions too but it makes it easier to manage permissions rather than applying permissions directly to a user
