- 1Frontal RainfallThe warm air and cold air meet and the warm air pushes over and above the cold air. Rainfall will then occur.
- 2Relief RainfallHot air has to rise over obstacles and as it rises it condenses and clouds form.
- 3Conventional RainfallThe Earth's surface is heated by the sun. The hot air rises until it begins to cool and condense forming clouds.
