Question Answer
Plot The main storyline of Macbeth is: Macbeth is influenced by the witches to become king but he takes it one way which leads to the main deaths of King Duncan's death and Banquo's death.
Macbeth Macbeth at the start is well respected character. As the play progresses he becomes more sneaky and towards the middle of the play he is showing signs of a mental issue when he sees a dagger but knows it is a 'dagger of the mind'
Lady Macbeth Lady Macbeth also has a big impact on Macbeth as she plans the first Murder of Kind Duncan. She is the brains of it and maybe even would do it but she says it looks too much like her own farther so wouldn't be able to proceed in it
Lady Macbeth Lady Macbeth towards the end of the play is suffering from a severe mental issue and when she thinks nobody is listening she lets out the secrets on who killed Banquo and Duncan. LADY MACBETH DIES BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE.
Banquo At the beginning of the play Banquo is Macbeths best friend as the are leaders in the battle together and was always telling each other things but since the witches got involved Macbeth wasn't letting Banquo in on anything he was thinking.
THE WITCHES The witches are a huge part of the play as though most scenes we get references to them and what they have said previously. We can see that the witches may have influenced Macbeth to do what he is doing but they could have only been telling him half of what they maybe should have. They told him he would be king "All hail, Macbeth, thou shalt be king hereafter!" This also could have influenced Lady Macbeth to push Macbeth to be the king quicker.
Act 1 - Scene 1 STARTS WITH WITCHES PLANNING TO MEET MACBETH Starts with THUNDER and LIGHTENING. Which can suggest un natural occurences. PARADOX!: "When the battle is lost and won"
Act 1 - Scene 2 KING DUNCAN HEARS REPORTS OF THE BATTLE "Bloody Execution" is used as a contrast of the dark opening scene with the pictures of brutality on the battle field. Macbeth is described as a 'Valiant' and 'brave' warrior.
Act 1 - Scene 3 THE WITCHES MAKE THE THREE PREDICTIONS These influence Macbeth t become king.
Act 1 - Scene 4 MACBETH BECOMES THANE OF CAWDOR This was mentioned in the witches previous predictions therefore this reassures Macbeth that what the witches are saying is true.
Act 1 - Scene 5 LADY MACBETH PLANS THE DEATH OF DUNCAN
Act 1 - Scene 6 DUNCAN ARRIVES AT MACBETHS CASTLE
Act 1 - Scene 7 FINAL DECISION TO KILL MACBETH IS DECIDED Tension is high because they are planning to kill the king who everyone looks unto and respects.
Act 2 - Scene 1 MACBETH SEES THE DAGGER BEFORE HIM (KEY PART) This is a key part in the play because Macbeths soliloquy shows the darkness about what he is about to do. We can see that underneath him saying he isn't going to go through with it he wants to because he knows its a dagger of the mind so it shows what he's thinking of in his mind.
Act 2 - Scene 2 DUNCAN IS KILLED!!!!
Act 2 - Scene 3 DUNCAN IS FOUND DEAD
Act 2 - Scene 4 MACBETH IS MADE KING
Act 3 - Scene 1 BANqUO'S MURDER IS PLOTTED WITHOUT LADY MACBETH This is a point we could think Macbeth may mess up as last time Lady Macbeth planned everything but now she doesn't even know because he doesn't want her to get involved.
Act 3 - Scene 2 MIXED EMOTIONS
Act 3 - Scene 3 BANqUO IS KILLED BY AN ASSASSIN FLEANCE ESCAPES Fleance was supposed to be killed but escaped so Macbeth is worried.
Act 3 - Scene 4 CROWDED AREA BUT MACBETH SEES BANQUOS GHOST This when Macbeth hosts a feast and receives the news Banquo is dead but Fleance isn't.
Act 3 - Scene 5 HECATE IS INTRODUCED (WITH OF WITCHES)
Act 3 - Scene 6 LENNOX PLANS AGAINST MACBETH Nobody dare go against Macbeth so this part is full of tension because the audience may think it won't work until "Birnham wood Moves"
Act 4 - Scene 1 MORE PREDICTIONS MADE BY THE WITCHCES
Act 4 - Scene 2 LADY MACDUFF AND HER SON IS MURDERED
Act 4 - Scene 3 MACBEATH HAS CREATED FEAR AS MALCOM DOESN'T TRUST MACDUFF
Act 5 - Scene 1 LADY MACBETH'S INSANITY SHOWS? We see the type of person this has made LADY MACBETH because she was really confident at the start and we now see what it has made her into.
Act 5 - Scene 2 BATTLE IS PREPARED \(BIRNHAM WOOD MENTIONED)\ The rebellion are chopping down trees from Birnham Wood to use as cover so when Macbeth sees he thinks it is actually moving.
Act 5 - Scene 3 Scene 4 MACBETH ALSO PREPARES FOR BATTLE
Act 5 - Scene 5 LADY MACBETH DIES Macbeth chooses not to see her before he goest to fight so he can see her after and say he succeeded but she dies so it is too late to go and see her before he goes out to fight.
Act 5 - Scene 6 Scene 7 THE ATTACK
Act 5 - Scene 8 MACDUFF AND MACBETH GO HEAD TO HEAD We don't know if Macbeth will survive because it is like birnham wood has moved because of the branches but we could question how did the witches want us to see it? The whole wood should move with tree stumps/ or part of the wood like the tree branches.
Act 5 - Scene 9 MALCOM BECOMES THE NEW RULER
