- 6What is a computer system?A computer system is when it runs when the hardware and software to create a functional solution
- 7What is a Peripherals? They are not mounted on the motherboard.
- 8What is reliability?Reliability of computer system can be improved by purchasing high-quality components. These often cost a lot.
- 9What is robustness?Robustness can be improved by using verification and validation techniques to help prevent abnormal inputs.
- 10What is dependability?Systems that aren't reliable crash or fail. Could be very serious.
Systems that aren't robust might 'hang' which would prevent a customer completing a transaction. - 11What are the purposes of CPU?Sorting and searching data
Performing calculations
Logical decisions making
Synchronising data on different devices
Control inputs / outputs and storage devices. - 12Where is a CPU?Is mounted on the motheboard
- 13What is a bus?A bus is a set physical connections which can be shared on multiple hardware components in order to communicate with another one.
