The last of the power nets is the deep power net. The deep power net is not superficial and is much more expansive than the other four. This net is divided into muscles and fascia that align in spiral patterns. In fact, the deep power net and spiral net are made up the same collection of muscles, but those muscles perform different roles depending on whether the priority is controlling and stabilizing transverse plane movements (e.g., turning to grab something in the back seat of a car), or generating powerful rotational movements through the core (e.g., swinging a baseball bat or chopping an axe).
