   • Quarantines any Programs or files which are harmful.
   • Should be used when downloading new software from the internet.
   • Protects against malicious software.
   • Should be used on email attachments.
   • scans the computer periodcally.
   • Needs updating regularly to make sure that it knows the latest threats.

3. Firewall

   • Used to help protect a computer network from intruders
   • Controls which programs can send and receive data packets.
   • Prevents harmful data entering your computer.
   • Used when program is trying to connect to another network.

4. Encryption

   • A) Encryption uses symbols and numbers as codes to make words
   • D) We use encryption to scramble up messages so people dont know what you are talking about
   • B) You encrypt a message by using codes that only certain people know
   • C) You decrypt a message by using codes
   • A) If the website has a padlock in the search bar it is encrypted
   • B) Some websites choose not to because then if you are planning to bomb a school they can see the text messages
