                1. 8- he immediately started huge programs of rearmament and conscription which was officially announced in 1939
                  1. 9-the army grew from 100,000 to 1.4 million between 33-39-huge amounts was spent producing military equipment
                    1. 10-the increase in military goods stimulated other industries and provided more jobs
                      1. 11-between 1933-39 coal and chemical production doubled and oil iron and steel trebbled and iron-ore mining increased 500%
                        1. 12-jews women who left jobs to raise a family and people in concentration camps were not included in the statement that unemployment fell to almost 0
                          1. 13hitlers aim was to make germany self-sufficient because the country could not afford to pay for huge quantities of imports of raw material didnt totally succeed
                            1. 14-germany relied on swedish iron-oreand some food -under the 4 year plan in 1936 started moving towards self-sufficiency
                              1. 15-wanted to achieve this by 1940 in time for war but virtually impossible as there wasnt the necessary quantity of raw materials within the country-lebensram was need too take over the countries with these supplies
