2. Second was created in 1998 because of the rise of internet
3. The third (GDPR) will release on the 25th May 2018!
4. Remember the rules by the mnemonic; FLAAKSTS
LAN vs WAN
1. Wide Area Network
  1. Connect over a large geographical area!
  2. Like many buildings/sites or even bigger!
  3. The Largest is the Internet.
2. Local Area Network
  1. Connect over a small geographical area!
  2. Just one building/site
  3. Owners own the network
Servers
1. Client Servers
  1. Relies on a central server
  2. Additional hardware would be required
  3. Restrictions can be applied
2. Peer to Peer
  1. All computers are equal
  2. Individuals back up themselves
  3. Each computer can be a client or a server
  4. Only one computer can load a persons profile
