STT on facial paralysis cases. Poor tear prod compounded by absence of
blinking
- Dacryoadenitis: Inflammatory destruction in
distemper
- Congenital alacrima: RARE.
Small breeds. Norm unilat.
(May be delayed maturation
with improvement later)
- Drug-induced: Sulphadiazine (acute KCS) -
Conjunctival hyperaemia - Pain - Lustreless
cornea -Low STT. Temporary or permanent
damage. Reversible drugs - atropine, topical
anaesthetics.
