  1. ROM stands for 'Read-only memory'
    1. Data saved in the ROM cannot be changed or modified once it has been saved, it can only be read or displayed.
    2. RAM stands for 'Random access memory'
      1. The most common type of memory found in computers and other devices.
        1. The RAM will clear when the device is turned off,therefore, none of the files will be saved.
        2. Volatile is a type of computer memory that requires data to be preserved before the computer is turned off. This is ran within applications and files will be temporarily saved in the RAM.
          1. Volatile memory is the most commonly used memory in computers.
          2. Non volatile memory is used for long-term storage. It is not commonly used in computers.
            1. Data will be automatically restored in non volatile memory. It does not need to be saved before the device is switched off.
