        1. ROM is memory that cannot be changed by either a program or a user.

          1. RAM is a fast temporary type of memory in which programs, applications and data are stored.
          2. What does volatile and non-volatile mean?
            1. Volatile means memory is lost when power is switched off however non-volatile means the memory will not be lost. RAM is volatile and ROM is non-volitile.
            2. What is the difference between ROM and RAM?
              1. Difference between ROM and RAM is that RAM can be accessed and edited whereas ROM memory is read only
              2. What things get stored in the RAM and the ROM?
                1. RAM-- The RAM does not STORE anything. It contains those items which are being processed For Instance: if you are typing something, the typed matter is stored in the RAM until you save the file.
                  1. ROM-- The ROM is the part of the computer which turns the computer on and then doesn't get used until the computer then is switched back on.
