Duty: your duty for this course is to be on course. There
MUST be no unit duties, medical or physio appts etc. You will
not use your unit's 'duties' as a reason to miss any of the
course. If this is an issue inform the Officer Tutor.
JPA/Modnet can be
accessed in the
Conference Room

You MUST sign into the AEC on the first day
and out on the last. The course staff will
account for attendance in between.
Laptops
AEC laptop care/security as per a
separate info sheet. Report any loss
or damage immediately.
Students can use their own
laptops. If you are not
familiar with your version
of Microsoft Word or have a
non-licenced version speak
to staff about the best
laptop to use.
WiFi: Use DBI. Set up your own
account, as required, ASAP.
The classroom must be
secured at the end of the day
by the Duty Student.
FIRE
Only use extinguishers to
tackle a fire if the fire
prevents your escape.
Raise the alarm straight away
shouting FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! and
hitting the alarm as you leave the
building.
Close all the windows on your (shortest)
route out.
Use the nearest fire escape and muster on the
grassed area behind bldg 126 in front of the Med
Centre. Fire escapes are at each end of the building, in
the portacabins and via the front door.
Coord Instrs
Parking: All vehicles must be parked
in the main carpark (the square).
Smoking: All types of cigarettes and vaping devices are
not to be used in the centre or its surroundings. The
smoking area is the shelter behind bldg 126.
Toilets: Found in the middle of each floor.
Effective
Learning
All neurodiversity can be supported. If
you would prefer hard/soft copy of
learning materials or links to videos, let
your instructors know.
Mobile Phones: These are a great learning resource if used maturely. Respect your fellow learners and staff
delivering education. There are plenty of breaks to use phones, be aware of other staff and courses in the building.
