RAM is a volatile way of storing files as it does not keeps the information when the computer is turned off.

You have to change the storage as you change the programs.
ROM stands for Read-only memory.
ROM keeps the information permanently so you can go back to your old files and documents.
ROM is a non-volatile way of keeping storage as it saves the files when the computer is turned off.
ROM stores instructions when computer is turned on.
You can't change the ROM because the instructions have to stay the same
