   • Cost effective and portable compared to solid state. Therefore, it is cheaper and can be used in many devices
   • Less durable than solid state. Therefore, it has a higher chance of breaking if it is dropped

3. Magnetic storage

   • Hard disk

   • Magnetic tape
   • It is more cost effective and higher capacity than solid state. Therefore it is cheaper to buy and make. And can store more files and applications
   • Slower read/write speed compared to solid state. Therefore, it will take longer to load applications and files
