secondary storage

  1. magnetic storage

    • good
      • has a higher compacity meening you have to not buy extra storage devices (usb)
        • it is better cost effective so if you have a bisniss and want to use magnetic then you will save more than if you use solid state
    • bad
      • it is not as durable because it has parts that can be moved
      • the read and write speed is slower than solid state so if you own a bissnies and that means that you could get more work done
  2. optical storage

    • good
      • highly cost affective because it is verry portable
      • it is verry portible so it wont breack
    • bad
      • it has a small amount of compasity so it wont hold loads of data
      • it is not very durable
  3. solid state (flash) storage

    • good
      • it is verry durable so if you have a kid with a laptop with solid state than if he/she dropes it than it has less chance of breakin
      • it has a better read/right speed meening it will load files and programs quiqer than magnetic
    • bad
      • less cost effective
      • has less compasity compare to magnetic storage
  4. it is non volatile meening it wont lose all the data when the computer is turned off

    • because it is non volatile it meens you need it in a computer systom to keep saved dara files and programs
