1. what is HTML?

   • The language used to create websites
     • Where they are stored
       • They are stored all over the world
         • There is no central storage of websites
           • what happens when i view a page?
             • it goes from my computer and travels to my ISP. Then it goes onto the Internet and goes onto the website host/ server
               • Stands for HyperText Markup Language

2. What is WWW

   • World Wide web
     • A combinntation of all resources and users of the Internet that are using te HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP)
       • The universe of network-accesible infoirmation, an embodimet of human knowledge
         • It was originally designed in 1991 by Tim Berners-Lee while he was a contractor at CERN
           • It is a search tool that helps you find and retrieve informatiobn from the Web site using links to other sites and documents
             • WWW may be accesed by a software application called a web browser
