   • Decimal numbers

3. Flat file database

   • A database that causes a lot of data redundancy.

4. Relational Database

   • A database that uses primary and foreign keys to reduce data redundancy.

5. Integer

   • Whole number

6. String

   • Anything that has no numbers unless put comment and int.

7. Foreign key

   • Reduces data redundancy

8. Primary key

   • It is a unique piece of data in a relational database.

9. Entity

   • A real world object.

10. Attribute

    • A part of an entity.

11. One to many relationship.

    • A relationship where one thing can have many other things but many things can only belong to one thing.

12. Validation checks

    • Type check
      • Data check for a numeric, boolean, date/time and/or image restrict values.
    • Range Check
      • A limit to how many characters someone can type in between to values.
    • Presence check
      • A check whether something has been entered in the correct/needed area. To check something is complete and exists.
    • Length check
      • A data check that ensures the user only inputs a specific amount of characters.

      • Easier to maintain.
      • Safe from corruption.
      • Set up by experts.
      • Used by users.
