   • Hard drive
   • It is easier to break than solid state
   • It is more cost effective than solid state

2. Optical storage

   • It is more potable than solid state to move around
   • It could break more easily than solid state
   • DVD

3. Solid state

   • It is harder to save things than magnetic storage
   • It will not break as easily as optical storage or magnetic storage
   • Speakers

4. Purpose

   • Permanent storage of data (operating systems, applications, files)
