Secondary storage

Secondary storage

1. Optical storage

   • Video Cassettes
   • Tape
   • High data stability
   • Costs less than SSD therefore it is better to buy

2. Magnetic storage

   • Magnetic tape
   • Floppy disk
   • It has a better capacity than Solid State therefore it is more useful
   • Magnetic Storage is cost effective and not like Solid state because of that it is a bit more useful and more

3. Solid state (flash) storage

   • TV sets
   • Speakers
   • Faster than hard disk drive because it has no mechanical parts
   • Since SSDs have lightweight components or moving parts, they are more mobile-friendly and are much better suited for constant traveling.
