1. Definition Branch

   • Computer - an electronic device for storing and processing data, according to instructions given to it in a variable program
   • Peripheral - any external device that provides input and output for the computer
   • Input - when a computer or device is receiving a command or signal from outer sources, the event is referred to as input to the device
     • Output - Any information that is processed by and sent out from a computer or other electronic device is considered as output
   • Process - the instance of a computer program that is being executed by one or many threads
     • Storage Devices - any computing hardware that is used for storing, porting and extracting data files and objects
   • Hardware - the collection of physical parts of a computer system
   • Software - a program that enables a computer to perform a specific task, as opposed to the physical components of the system

2. Input and output devices for disabled computer users

   • Puff-suck switch - Input device that requires someone to puff or suck down a tube that is connected to the computer by a cable in order to activate a switch
   • Foot Mouse - An input device that can be used to navigate through software programs and select things in much the same way as a conventional mouse
