1. Translators

   • Interpreter
     • What is it?
       • An interpreter takes your instructions one by one and translates them into binary which then the computer can execute the instruction. One advantage of this is that it can detect the errors so you can change them, however it is quite a slow process.
   • Compiler
     • A compiler takes in all of your instructions at once. This is good because it is much quicker than the interpreter . However, if there is an error then you cannot correct it.
   • Assembler
     • An assembler is a program that converts assembly code into machine code. It translates the basic instructions into binary so the machine can easily read and understand it.

2. High and low level code

   • High level code is similar to the english language so it is easier for humans to read and write. An example of this is python.
   • Low level code is code which the computer can easily understand. An example of this machine code (binary)

3. Debugger:A program that checks and tests for errors then fixes the bugs

4. Run-Time environment:Allows you to test code on seperate devices

5. Source code editor: It edits the source code of the computer programs

6. Auto documentation: It explain the functions and purposes of the code.
