1. Production companies help to develop a film, providing it with resources such as assistance on budgeting, scripting and casting
  1. This is important because it helps to make the film become successful as much as possible
2. They analyse the finished product, making a judgement on whether the film meets certain standards
What films did I research?
1. I researched one film and 3 film opening sequences. I decided to research 3 AS media coursework opening sequences made by previous media students as this would give me a better understanding and interpretation of the task brief
2. The real film called 'The Purge 2: Anarchy' that I researched in much depth, gave me an insight as to what contributes into making a real film

        This works as an advantage to the film because Universal Pictures has a very large budget and is extremely popular for its success of distributing many films

  2. Supports short films with small budgets
  3. In partnership with the British Film Institution (BFI)
  4. The distributors main aim is to bring focus on Britain's success for making films
