Disadvantages
1. Easy to hack all computers
2. Can have collisions slowing down the whole network
3. If the network shuts down then so will all the computers connected to it.
4. They are expensive to set up and create
5. You will need someone that knows how to set up a computer to set up a good, well-working network
Advantages
1. When you complete something on your account and log onto your account on a different computer it will save your progress
2. They are all connected to each other therefore being able to link to each other
3. Its easy to save progress on 1 computer and access it on another computer
Topologies
1. Ring Topology
  1. Disadvantage
    1. High chance of catastrophic failure
    2. Difficult to expand
  2. Advantage
    1. Cheap and easy to install
    2. No collisions (Fast)
2. Star Topology
  1. Disadvantage
    1. Expensive to install
    2. Failure of the switch will take down the whole server
  2. Advantage
    1. Low chance of collisions
    2. Easy to add new computers to
3. Bus Topology
  1. Advantage
    1. Cheap and easy to install
  2. Disadvantage
    1. An increased amount of collisons due to the design of the wires connecting all the computers
    2. If the main wire breaks the whole network will break down
IP address
1. A unique value assigned to every device assigned to a network
2. An IP address is used to identify ever device on a network
Internet
1. The internet is a giant mesh of computers
2. There are multiple different routes between two nodes
3. Data is split into small chunks called packets
4. Each packet is sent along the lowest cost route
