1. What is artificial technology?

   • It is the combination of algorithms proposed for the purpose of creating machines that have the same capabilities as humans. A technology that is still distant and mysterious to us, but that for a few years has been present in our daily lives at all hours.
     • • Types
         • Systems that think like humans: automate activities such as decision making, problem solving, and learning. An example is artificial neural networks.
         • Systems that act like humans: These are computers that perform tasks in a similar way to how people do. This is the case of robots.
         • Systems that think rationally: they try to emulate the rational logical thinking of humans, that is, they investigate how to ensure that machines can perceive, reason and act accordingly. Expert systems are included in this group.
         • Systems that act rationally: ideally, they are those that try to rationally imitate human behavior, such as intelligent agents
     • What do you want to achieve with artificial intelligence?
       • Artificial Intelligence aims to get to build these "machines", and improve the knowledge of intelligence. Those machines should be able to imitate, or exceed, the mental capabilities of humans

2. Characteristics of artificial intelligence

   • Ability to react to the information available in the environment
   • Memory and learning from specific experiences
   • Ability to solve specific problems
   • Sensory perception ability (auditory, visual, tactile)
   • Ability to manage, that is, a coherent and clear infrastructure for its application
   • Resilience, that is, capacity for optimization
   • Good performance, that is, the ability to efficiently handle large amounts of information
   • Measurable to quantify performance and make future investments
