1. Ayah1

   • All the praises and thanks be to Allah, who has sent down to His Slave, the Book, and has not placed therein any crookedness
     • Al Hamd
       • Only used for Allah
       • something huge and great status out of love and exultation because of His Perfection
     • 'Abdi
       • Worshipper, slave
       • used in 3 cases in Quran
         • Allah describes Revelation of Quran to Prophet
         • Allah defends Prophet (2:23)
         • Allah describes Isra wa Mi'raj (17:1)
           • The Prophet's Highest Station
     • Kitab
       • One of names of Quran
       • meaning : to write or something collected
     • Crookedness: IWAJA
       • MUST be separated from the next word : QAYIMMA
         • to show 2 distinct characteristics
           • there is NO crookedness
             • No lies
             • No injustices
             • Nothing is without a purpose
         • It is QAYIMMA : upright and straight
           • It is MUQEEM : causes others to become upright and straight
           • HE commands with the most exalted commands&prohibitions
           • Fill our hearts with knowledge and eeman
           • Commandments Purify and cleanse the heart

2. Ayah 2

   • (He has made it) straight to give warning (to disbelievers) of a severe punishment from Him, and to give glad tidings to the believers, who do righteous deeds that they shall have a fair reward
     • REASON for reveleation of Quran
       • To warn of a severe punishment
         • Punishment in Dunya And Akhirah
       • to give glad tidings to believers
         • BUSHRA
     • Righteous deeds
       • Ikhlas
         • To seek His Face on DOJ
       • Ittb'aa
         • According to Shariah
     • Reward is HASAN
       • Successfully Attaining Allah's Pleasure and Entrance in Jannah
       • Reward is AJR and not Thawaab
         • Reward is GUARANTEED
     • QURAN contains DEEDS that will lead to these glad tidings

3. Ayah 3

   • They shall abide there in forever
     • constantly in INCREASING Bliss

4. Ayah 4

   • And to warn those who say "Allah has begotten a son"
     • To warn the Christians , the Jews and Arab pagans

5. Ayah 5

   • No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Mighty is the word that comes out of their mouths. They utter nothing but a lie.
     • 1. They made this claim out of IGNORANCE
     • IT COMES out of their mouth,in present tense as theu are still insisting on it
     • 2. Nothing more horrendous than this statement.
     • 3. It is a lie
       • Surah Maryam (19: 90-92)
