Parallel lines

  1. EXTERIOR ANGLES:- exterior angles are created where a transversal crosses two lines (parallel lines). Each pair of these angles are outside the parallel lines, and on the same side of the transversal. Eg:- angles (1 and 2) are exterior

  2. INTERIOR ANGLES :- they are created where a transversal crosses two (usually parallel) lines. Each pair of interior angles are inside the parallel lines, and on the same side of the transversal. Eg:- angles (3 and 4) are interior angles.

  3. CORRESPONDING ANGLES :- Corresponding angles are the angles which are formed in matching corners or corresponding corners with the transversal when two parallel lines are intersected by any other line. Eg:- angles (1 and 5) are corresponding angles.

  4. VERTICAL OPPOSITE ANGLES:- when two lines intersect each other, then the opposite angles formed due to intersection are called vertical opposite angles. Eg:- angles (1 and 3) are vertical opposite angles.

  5. ALTERNATE INTERIOR ANGLES:- alternate interior angles are angles formed when two parallel or non-parallel lines are intersected by a transversal. The angles are positioned at the inner corners of the intersections and lie on opposite sides of the transversal. Eg:- angles (4 and 6) are alternate interior angles.

  6. ALTERNATE EXTERIOR ANGLES :- alternate exterior angles are a pair of angles on the outer side of each of those two lines but on opposite sides of the transversal. Eg:- angles (1 and 7) are alternate exterior angles .

  7. CO- INTERIOR ANGLES :- these are angles that lie on the interior of the line 'm' and 'n' as well as the same side of the transversal line 'l' . So these lines are called co- interior angles. Eg:- angles ( 5 and 6) are co-interior angles.

  8. CO-EXTERIOR ANGLES:- are lying on the exterior of the lines 'm' 'n' as well as the same side of the transversal line 'l'. So these are called as co-exterior angles. Eg:- angles (7 and 8) are co-exterior angles
