Current and Voltage

1. Current flows when an electric charge moves around a circuit. No current can flow if the circuit is broken.

2. Current is measured by amps by a measurer called an ammeter.

3. A voltage across an electrical component - such as a lamp - is needed to make a current flow through it. Cells or batteries often provide the voltage needed.

4. A volt is electric force

5. It is measured using a volt meter

6. Voltage = current x resistance
