                              1. Prism core removed, peripheral material left
                                1. Most common etching pattern
                                2. TYPE 2 ETCH PATTERN

                                                                        1. bleeding disorders, metabolic/endocrine probs
                                                                      2. Tooth can be isolated
                                                                        1. Deep Fissures
                                                                        2. CONTRAINDICATIONS
                                                                          1. Poor pt co operation
                                                                            1. Caries present
                                                                              1. Previously restored tooth
                                                                              2. Should be reviewed 6/12 and take bw's if poss caries
