          1. safegaurding is ensuring no one is violating anyones rights
            1. Safegaurding should be done to prevent bad things from happening before they become a case where child protection is needed

              1. There are many ways to safegaurd, for instance DBS's are a form of ensuring people that work with vulnerable people are safe
              2. Who safegaurds
                1. Social workers
                  1. Social workers especially are trained thouroughly to spot any kind of abuse or neglect
                    1. Social workers must undertake a DBS check
                    2. Police
                      1. police try to defuse situations and prevent citizens feeling unsafe
                      2. Teachers
                        1. Teachers are responsible for the kids under there care, this means things such as school trips should be risk assessed and students should be counted regularaly
                          1. it's also teachers responsibilty to ensure people helping out on school trips are safe

                          1. Everyone has a responsibility to report something they are uncomfortable with
