1. Registers

   • MDR
     • Memory data register
       • Stores the data that has been fetched from the memory
   • MAR
     • Memory address register
       • It stores a single address,
   • PC
     • program counter
       • A register containing the address of the next instruction to be executed from the memory
   • ACC
     • Accumulator
       • Where intermediate arithmetic logic unit results are stored

2. CU

   • Control Unit
     • controls all CPU operations, including ALU operations

3. ALU

   • Arithmetic Logic Unit

4. Cache

   • memory used to improve the performance of recently or frequently accessed data.
