1. The periodic table

   • elemants are arranged in order of increassing atomic number
     • atomic number ; the number of prtons in the nuclus of an atom
   • The horizontal rows are called periods
   • The vertical columns are called groups
   • elements in the same group are similar to each other
   • The zig zag line seperates the metals on the left from the non metals on the right
