      1. It brings lots of money into local economy. Mass tourism supports jobs and money
      2. Social
        1. Gives people money to do things. They can improve their lives. Young people stay because jobs are available. Investment in local schemes such as schools.

          1. People use money to help/preserve the environment. Eco-tourism/green tourism where tourists help. Input of money from tourists helps maintain local companies and fund environmental businesses
        3. Negative impacts

            1. Scaring the wildlife. Noise pollution, litter. Too much construction work destroys habitat.
            2. Economic
              1. Most of the profit made from tourism is kept by large travel organisation. Locals jobs are taken/lose jobs.
              2. Social
                1. Loss of jobs and people move. Tourism jobs are often seasonal and low paid. Traffic congestion can cause great inconvenience to locals. Tourist behaviour can be offensive.

                                  1. Money goes towards the kenyan services such as wildlife and famous gardens. Mud tracks are different and they are turned into roads so that the locals can travel easier. Bikes are used a lot more than cars so there is less pollution
                                  2. Social
                                    1. The locals get money from the things they make and sell such as souvenirs. Young people get experience on the different jobs on offer and work. They are able to bring modern things to the locals like internet, laptops and phones. The country is able to invest in schools and hospitals.

                                      1. Kenya offers many jobs for charity since there are many shanty towns dotted around. Tourists spending a lot of money which gives locals income. Over 952,400 visitors in 2013, earning $0.8 billion from tourism. Tourism has created all year jobs for kenyans

                                        1. Congestion causing inconvenience to locals. There is an obvious change in culture in order to attract tourism.

                                          1. In some cases there are lots of pollutions in the cities like Nairobi. Noise pollution and carbon dioxide are both a problem. Low flying aircraft carrying people into the local parts of the country easily scare animals and then safaris are made worse, its like a large cycle.

                                            1. The government is corrupt so most of the money disappears. hotels and travel companies in MEDC's take a lot of the money. The locals are not always well payed.
