How did you use media technologies in the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages?

Introduction
1. Throughout the course of my A2 media studies I have used many different media platforms. Blogger is a media platform which I have used throughout the whole of my A2 media studies creating a blog to record my work as well as making my work easily accessible for my teacher.
2. As well as the use of blogger I have also used other media technologies such as web tools to put my work onto, Adobe Photoshop to edit my music video together. All of these media platforms I have used previously at AS media, so I had an idea on how each of these platforms works.
Research
1. Blogger
  1. Blogger is Google’s free tool for creating blogs. Blogs, short for web-logs, are a form of online journal.
  2. Blogger has been easy to use throughout my media as creating a blog is very easy to use also embedding web tools makes the information to put on my blogs more interesting.
2. Prezi
  1. 'History of music videos post', a post I created on Prezi which looks at the history of music videos widening my knowledge of the topic.
3. YouTube
  1. I used YouTube to watch music videos of the same style genre to analyse them. Taking into consideration Mise en scene, narrative, and editing. I analysed Ed Sheeran's - Give me love.
4. Lyrics.com
  1. I have done some independent research into the lyrics of my chosen song, by breaking the song down and looking at the lyrics helps me get a better understanding of the narrative.

2. Storyboard
  1. By creating a storyboard helps with the planning of filming, by drawing out each of the shots that we are going to film helps us in preparation. The way I used media technology for this was by taking a photograph of the finished storyboard and transferring it onto my computer and then onto my blog.
3. Pete Frasers 10 step guide
  1. The guide explains a lot about music videos and how they work, as well as how to make a perfect music video. By using media technologies through looking at his website.
Filming and Editing
1. Adobe Premier Pro
  1. To edit our music video together we used Premier Pro putting the clips together along to the music.
2. YouTube
  1. We needed to look up how to do certain techniques when editing our music video together, watching YouTube videos helped us with this.
3. We filmed our video on a Canon EOS Camera
4. Throughout the stages we also used a smartphone iPhone 6 to film parts, such as our audience feedback
