1 Competitive Inhibition
1.1 Bind to active site of enzyme - COMPETE against substrate
1.2 Inhibitors will have a similar shape to substrate
1.3 Block substrate from getting to active site by binding to enzymes active site
1.3.1 NO ENZYME-SUBSTRATE COMPLEXES formed
1.3.1.1 decreased rate of reaction
1.4 How much of enzyme inhibited depends on relative concentrations of inhibitor and substrate
1.4.1 Higher conc. of inhibitor = occupy most active sites
1.4.2 Higher conc. of substrate = chances of ENZYME-SUBSTRATE COMPLEXES increase

2.4 Increasing substrate concentration has no effect on reaction rate
