1 -To discourage aggression from any countries
2 To encourage countries to co-operate especially in business and trade
3 To encourage disarmament
4 To improve living and working conditions of people in all parts of the world
5 France wanted a league with an army
6 Britain wanted it only to meet for emergencies as there was already an international conference
7 America wanted a parliament for all nations to meet and decide on matters
8 America won and it became an international parliament
